Welcome to the blog

This is my first attempt at a blog, so please forgive my awkwardness. They purpose of this blog is to educate others on the complexities and wonders of keeping the group of microscopic crustaceans known as copepods. I have devoted approximately 8 years so far to the study of this group and their function in the environment, and I find the scientific questions related to copepods to be endlessly fascinating. For example, copepods are the largest source of protein in the ocean next to krill. Many people have heard of krill, because that is what the whales eat. Copepods are also eaten by whales, and many other fish and shellfish in the ocean. Isn't that cool?

So, please write to me if you have questions about the content. While I am a scientist by trade, I am not infallible, and I enjoy learning as much as sharing what I have learned. Regards.
